You would need to figure out how much energy you are attempting to generate. There are a number of on-line energy calculators available through google, or viewing your previous energy bills for the past year should give you a good idea of how much energy you use on a monthly basis. You might find it varies from season to season. The Grape Solar Kit available in the product listing on this page produces between 420 and 820 kwh of electricity per month. That particular Kit sells for just under $15,000. Can you do it cheaper by purchasing the components separately and by watching for sales… probably. Perhaps you would like to get your feet wet, by using solar panels to heat your water, or light your garage. I do not think I can give you one solid price.
